Basin Electric named a top 10 workplace by Young Professionals Network

YP Award
Basin Electric employees Corey Helm, talent acquisition specialist I, and Crystal Huisman, Human Resources coordinator, accept the YP award.

Basin Electric has been named one of the top 10 places to work in Bismarck and Mandan, Noth Dakota by the Young Professionals Network (YP Network). This marks the 11th time Basin Electric has received this award in 17 years.

The YP Network is a not-for-profit organization of professionals, ages 21-40, that is dedicated to professional development, entrepreneurship, community service, and networking. It creates and fosters connections between its members and local businesses and/or organizations.

To qualify for the award, businesses must employ young professionals under age 40 and develop and execute strategies to advance employment of young professionals in the workplace. Additionally, the employer is evaluated on the quality and type of benefits offered.

Basin Electric was chosen for the award based on several factors including its commitment to recruiting and retaining young professionals, offering a competitive benefit package, job-specific training, volunteer, professional development opportunities, and supporting a healthy work-life balance.

“We are extremely honored and grateful to receive the Young Professionals Top 10 Award again this year” said Kayla Hieb, Basin Electric vice president of Human Resources. “Thank you to our young professionals and all of our employees who make Basin Electric an extraordinary place to work.”
