Missouri Basin Toastmasters to meet – public encouraged to join

The Missouri Basin Toastmasters is set to meet from 12-1 p.m. on February 25 in West 4 Wyoming C at Basin Electric headquarters. This meeting is free and open to the public and a complimentary taco bar will be offered to attendees.

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that builds confidence and teaches public speaking skills through a worldwide network of clubs that meet online and in person. In a supportive community or corporate environment, members prepare and deliver speeches, respond to impromptu questions, and give and receive constructive feedback. It is through this regular practice that members are empowered to meet personal and professional communication goals.

“Toastmasters has been a great way for me to get comfortable with public speaking," Robin Weerts, vice president of education for Missouri Basin Toastmasters said. "There is no pressure or judgement, so it’s a great opportunity for anyone who is nervous about public speaking but wants to improve that skill”.
