Matt Ehrman, Basin Electric vice president of Engineering & Construction, spoke at the Association of Rural Electric Generating Cooperatives (AREGC) Conference June 11-14 in Park City, Utah. Over 200 industry professionals attend this year’s event.
Ehrman presented about Pioneer Generation Station Phase IV, Basin Electric's newest generation project near the existing Pioneer Generation Station northwest of Williston, North Dakota.
Ehrman spoke about the project need and scope of the approximately 600-megawatt facility, how supply chain and other challenges are being addressed, and the importance of collaboration between both Basin Electric and project partners to meet the expedited timeframe of the project.
This was the 72nd annual AREGC Conference, an event sponsored by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association to help electric cooperative personnel gain knowledge and insight into new practices and technologies in the industry.
