Basin Electric Headquarters employees raise more than $43,000 in 2018 for local charities
During 2018, Basin Electric’s Headquarters employees donned their denim to raise more than $43,000 for three local charities to help fight hunger and address other community needs.
Through the co-op’s “Casual for a Cause” campaign, employees contributed to a charity to get the privilege of wearing jeans to work. All proceeds—more than $43,000—went to Aid, Inc., Great Plains Food Bank, and Missouri Slope Area United Way.
Since 2016, Basin Electric’s Headquarters employees have contributed almost $87,000 to local charities through the annual “Casual for a Cause” campaign.
“Commitment to community is a co-op principle Basin Electric believes in, and we’re so proud of our employees who bring this to life in many ways, always with the well-being and future of our communities in mind,” Diane Paul, Basin Electric senior vice president of Human Resources, said.
The 2019 “Casual for a Cause” is already off to a good start. In the first few weeks of the year, employees have contributed an impressive $22,000 to date.
