Basin Electric 2020 Annual Meeting going virtual
Basin Electric’s board of directors decided at their September meeting that the 2020 Annual Meeting will be held as a virtual event this year. The cooperative has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic while evaluating options for how to hold the meeting. Plans for both a traditional and virtual meeting were considered. The directors determined the virtual meeting is the best way to keep everyone safe.
“The health and safety of our members, staff, and Annual Meeting attendees is top priority,” said Chris Baumgartner, Basin Electric senior vice president of Member Services and Administration. “Even though we’ll be getting together in a different way this year, it’s still just as important that we get the information to our membership that they need and expect from their Annual Meeting. We’re looking forward to meeting to reflect on the past year and plan for the future.”
The virtual meeting is scheduled for the morning of Nov. 4 and will be broadcasted via livestream.
For the last several years, Basin Electric has held a members-only meeting the day after Annual Meeting. This year, that meeting will occur virtually, as well, in the afternoon after the conclusion of annual meeting.
