Missouri Basin Power Project Transmission System
The Missouri Basin Power Project (MBPP) is the Laramie River Station electric generating plant near Wheatland, WY, and its associated facilities. The MBPP System is the transmission associated with the generating station. There are currently 681 miles of line in this system.
The MBPP is owned by a group of six electric utilities. They are:
- Heartland Consumers Power District, Madison, SD,
- Lincoln Electric System, Lincoln, NE,
- Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Westminster, CO,
- Western Minnesota Municipal Power Agency, Ortonville, MN
- Wyoming Municipal Power Agency, Lusk, WY, and
- Basin Electric Power Cooperative, Bismarck, ND.
