For Basin Electric members, Security and Response Services (SRS) will manage your telephones on evenings, weekends and holidays, offering a transparent service. When one of your customers calls, we'll answer the telephone with the name of your cooperative.
Basically, anything that your customer needs outside of normal business hours, we can handle for you, or we'll contact a designated person in your organization who can.
In the event of an outage or electrical hazard, our team at SRS will use state-of-the-art technology to compile information, dispatch and communicate with your crew, and verify for you that your consumers have power again. When you return to the office, you will find a clear, concise report stating:
Plus, we at SRS are committed to taking advantage of new technology to improve the services we offer you. For example, each SRS member now has its own confidential area on the Basin Electric Web site for accessing co-op-specific SRS information. In the event of a major outage, if you decide to take your telephones back and handle your own crews, your employees will be able to step right in and take over without having to wait for faxes, or possibly without even leaving their homes.
